The Revolution by Sarah Jones http://youtube.com/watch?v=a80Jq8kCxeM

That Sarah Jones song "Your Revolution" is what changed my mind on misogynistic hip hop... it was so powerful to see a woman challenge commercial hip hop and talk about the power of the form for women. Believe it or not, the Federal Communications Commission in the USA ruled her song "patently offensive" - here's the details: http://www.fepproject.org/commentarie...
But Sarah fought back and the decision was eventually reversed.
It's so wonderful to see people continuing to keep Gil Scott-Heron's ideas alive by adding to our visions of revolution no matter the attempt at censorship!!!
