Apply to be a part of FAMILY MATTERS – a FREE arts-based workshop series for 2SLGBTQQ youth!
FAMILY MATTERS is a 12-week workshop series for 2SLGBTQQ youth where we will explore the families we have, the families we want, and the families we are building. Some of the reflections, ideas, questions, and art pieces we produce will be turned into community resources and used for ongoing community dialogue!
We will do this work through skill-building, arts-based workshops in creative writing, photography, digital storytelling, video production, poetry, and spoken word.
Through this process we will all learn more about communication, creating safer spaces, community building, self-care, violence prevention, and healing.
This program includes:
Lunch before every workshop
Money for child care (if needed)
The program will run from 1-5pm on either Saturday or Sunday afternoons, starting on the weekend of March 2nd. Let us know in your application which day works best for you!
Springtide Resources – 215 Spadina Ave, Suite 220 – wheelchair accessible building and washrooms.
How do I apply? APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MONDAY FEBRUARY 25th by 3pm!
If you identify as 2SLGBTQQ and are between the ages of 16 and 29, we would love to hear from you! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application form, or if you have any questions.
