CB & Rihanna: Love Gone Wrong on MuchMusic
MuchMusic
Chris Brown & Rihanna: Love Gone Wrong airs Wednesday, February 25 at 6 p.m. ET.
MuchMusic presents a 30-minute MuchTalks special examining the alleged abuse that occurred between star couple Chris Brown and Rihanna the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards.
As the alleged abuse case between pop stars Rihanna and Chris Brown becomes increasingly talked-about, the issue of dating abuse is on the top of teens’ minds. Hosted by VJs Sarah Taylor and Devon Soltendieck, MUCHTALKS gives youth a chance to participate in an open discussion on the situation, tell their stories, and have the chance to pose questions to experts and each other.
In this important roundtable, the group tries to figure out what went wrong with pop’s golden couple and how the fall-out affects their young careers. The panel includes Lauren Collins, star of CTV’s Degrassi The Next Generation, Alana Wyatt, ex-wife of rapper Mos Def and author of Breaking the Code of Silence, and RT!, Music Video Director for Simple Plan and Kardinal Offishall. Representatives from Kids Help Phone, YWCA, and the White Ribbon Campaign are also on hand to talk about how their services can help teens in trouble.
Celebrity Blogger Perez Hilton, artist Danny Fernandez, Rihanna Music Video Director X, Us Weekly Senior Music Editor Ian Drew, and Elizabeth Mendez Berry, writer for Vibe Magazine who has covered domestic violence in hip hop join the discussion from LA and New York.
