At Daily Kos: Iowa Woman Jailed for Thinking About an Abortion collects stories of three women facing serious lack of reproductive freedom in the United States.

The folks at GOOD have posted a story about the heroic young woman who sacrificed herself to save thousands of lives during the Japanese tsunami.

The Tyee has a two-part series on Hazelton, B.C., the town with the highest poverty level in B.C., and some of the challenges and successes facing this Indigenous community.

Students at a Thunder Bay Catholic high school were sent home for displaying pro-choices messages on their school uniforms. Students wearing pro-life messages were not disciplined.

In mid-February, the Canada Border Services Agency implemented a policy allowing immigration officers to enter women’s shelters seeking illegal immigrants. No One is Illegal Toronto has organized a rally on Tuesday, March 8 to condemn the policy.
