Taking Action Toronto! Public exhibition of youth art this Sunday!

October 16th, 2008     by Jessica Yee     Comments

You are cordially invited to attend the public exhibition of Aboriginal youth art for Taking Action Toronto! on Sunday, October 19th from 3-5pm.

Aboriginal youth in Toronto, with the help of artists and community partners, will tackle the higher HIV infection rates among members of our communities that weekend by developing and showcasing their own creative, art-based responses.

The Taking Action! project is about engaging Aboriginal youth, being proud of our culture, peer-education, and leading the way to stop the spread of HIV!

Please show your support for our next seven generations by attending!

When: Sunday, October 19th Where: Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) 252 Bloor St. W Time: 3pm to 5pm

RSVP to Jessica Yee, National Youth Coordinator at takingaction4youth@gmail.com

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS STILL ROOM LEFT FOR REGISTRATIONS! IF YOU KNOW ANY ABORIGINAL YOUTH BETWEEN THE AGES OF 13-18 WHO WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND, PLEASE LET US KNOW!

If you are interested in volunteering or contributing in any other way, please do not hesitate to contact us!
