    Valentine’s Everyday

March 22nd, 2014     by deb singh     Comments

A friend of mine recently said I could start my own consulting business…a romantic consulting business. I guess she liked some of the ideas her best friend (my partner) told her I had pulled on her in the last year. Made with love: Shameless presents the love and relationships issue

January 5th, 2014     by Sheila Sampath     Comments

I’ve been editing Shameless for three-and-a-half years now, and this letter, by far, has been the hardest for me to sit down and write. In working on this issue, I’ve come to realize that love and relationships aren’t things that we can talk about in abstract ways, because we experience them in such concrete and deeply personal ways. Relationships are loaded (everybody has strong opinions about how things should be), scary (they require honesty, trust, … READ MORE

So I’m pregnant. Yay! It’s exciting, scary, weird and most definitely overwhelming. I read a lot of books, I talked to a lot of people and even at 18 weeks (about 4 months and 2 weeks), I still really have no idea what I’m in for. Nature is seriously awesome! Love and Relationships Series: When Your Partner Has Someone Else in Their Life - Their Kid

November 1st, 2013     by Guest Blogger     Comments

by Jessie Hale Dating is hard. In those first early days of romance, when you’re finding out everything there is to know about your new partner, you can be filled with giddiness one moment (they love TNG, too!) and horror the next (how can someone “hate” cats?!). October 25th, 2013     by Guest Blogger     Comments

by Maranda Elizabeth I started writing before I knew how to write. When our mom had to go to work but couldn’t afford to have someone take care of us, she’d bring my twin and I to the office with her, and give us blank paper and pens to keep us amused. We’d hang out in the waiting room, scribbling our idea of cursive, sending each other unintelligible short stories and workplace documents with fancy signatures … READ MORE

Love and Relationships Series: Friendship, Petship

October 18th, 2013     by Meg Pirie     Comments

One day in elementary school, I had to do a “get to know you” activity with another student. At the part of the form that required me to fill in “Best Friend,” I wrote PEPPY. “Who’s Peppy?” the classmate asked. “My dog.” “Your dog is your best friend?!” Up until that point, this didn’t seem so strange. And why would it? Peppy and I came into each other’s lives when I was 7, and I will always think of … READ MORE
